The purpose of media eye is to monitor communications media with the intention to insure accuracy, fairness, ethics access and accountability for the benefit of all sentient beings

So just to make it simple to understand today’s historic FCC approval for ‘open Internet’ rules, including classifying the Web as a public utility….Years ago the Internet started out as an option – and now has morphed into a most essential if not mandated method – and becoming even more so every day – to apply for just about all jobs, do your banking, register for school/college, for parents to check their kids school progress and report cards, access your health records, communicate with your health provider, monitor your stocks, file your taxes, get health insurance, sign up for your water, gas, power service, buy tickets for any type of entertainment ,for rural and remote areas to access EVERYTHING, and more. The ruling helps assure ACCESS and AFFORDABILITY for everyone, instead of empowering the ‘market driven multi-tiered fees’ the corporate providers want unregulated. Thanks to folks like Gigi Sohn at the FCC, Portland’s David Olson, the UCC’s Media Justice Advocate Cheryl Leanza, and the zillion others who forecasted the need and worked for this policy for the last 15 years.
